Edwin has been my cat for over 9 years (check out blog entries from 2009 back). We estimate he was born in March of 2001. He's a funny cat, with a bit of an odd disposition, sometimes he loves you, sometimes he hates you. His growl is definitely worse than his bite! Ed's favorite things to do are sleep on the back of the couch and sleep on any and all of Sam's soft cozy blankets. Oh yes, and he loves to eat. Especially wet food and "Medical" Dental food, which we just call the "big pieces". Right now Ed is on a diet. According to the vet, he's about 3 lbs overweight. We've got our work cut out for us!
Until Sam came along, Maggie was the newest addition to our family. We estimate she was born in February of 2009. She still thinks she's a kitten and tries to get away with all sorts of shenanigans. Thankfully she has stopped climbing our sliding door screen. She loves to follow us around and get into small spaces like the crawlspace under the stairs or the lazy susan. She especially loves to stalk Ed and attack him when he least expects it. She definitely helps keep Ed young. :)
Ed and Maggie didn't always get along, when we first got Maggie, Edwin was extremely jealous and hissed at her on sight. It took almost a year for him to get used to her, in fact it wasn't until Sam was born that Maggie and Ed's friendship was solidified.
